Scottsdale-based Cullum Home has announced Cullum Homes Million Meal March for St. Mary’s Food Bank.

For the next two months luxury home building Cullum Homes will partner with St. Mary’s Food Bank to aid Arizona’s hungry neighbors, according to a press release.

Cullum Homes founders Rod and Kim Cullum kicked off the Million Meal March with a $10,000 donation, which will provide 70,000 meals to recipients at St. Mary’s Food Bank. Cullum Homes will use the next 60 days to encourage other businesses, clients and partners to match or donate what they can to help struggling Valley families this spring.

“This is an issue very dear to our hearts, and we are going to dedicate our efforts and resources to raise enough money to provide a million meals to families utilizing St. Mary’s Food Bank this spring,” said Lindsay Cullum-Colwell, managing principal of Cullum Homes. “Hunger is one of the greatest threats to our community, and with the help of our Valley businesses, and community members we can help to ease hunger in Arizona.”

Because of the pandemic, more people in the Valley are losing jobs and struggling to put food on the table. Cullum Homes will use its relationships with Valley businesses and recent home buyers to help reach its goal of a million meals to help ease the burden of hunger.

St. Mary’s Food Bank is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations are eligible for a dollar-for-dollar charitable tax credit through an Arizona tax return; up to $400 for individuals and $800 for couples filing jointly.

Community support is essential to Cullum Homes Million Meal March, the press release stated. To donate please visit smfba.convio.net/CullumHomes and see directly how many meals the donation provides to the community.
