Ravenscroft, Arizona’s newest concert venue with a 200-seat concert hall and intimate jazz lounge, announces its 2022-23 jazz-series lineup and ticket packages.
The series, formerly known as the Lakeshore Music Jazz Series, begins Saturday, Sept. 17, with a concert fronted by Valley jazz legend Lewis Nash, and in May concludes with a doubleheader by Artemis, a dynamic supergroup of six of the most acclaimed women in jazz.
Tickets for the nine-concert series are available at theravenscroft.com, or at the Ravenscroft Box Office, or over the phone at 1-800-785-3318 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The series is presented September through May at Ravenscroft Hall, 8445 E. Hartford Drive in Scottsdale, just southeast of Loop 101/Princess Drive in the Scottsdale Perimeter Complex.
Woody Wilson, longtime Tempe resident, civic leader and pioneering figure in the Valley’s jazz scene, has been named executive producer of the rebranded Ravenscroft Jazz Series.
“Woody Wilson is a legend in the local jazz community, who has produced and promoted amazing concerts for many years,” Ravenscroft Director David Bauer shared in a news release. “We’re thrilled that he’ll be bringing that knowledge and experience to our inaugural season of the Ravenscroft Jazz Series.”
Wilson says the 2022-23 lineup “has the tried-and-true audience favorites and established artists, such as Bill Charlap, Christian Jacob and Lewis Nash.”
“It also has the hot, new and young emerging talents, such as Alicia Olatuja and Samara Joy,” said Wilson, who founded Lakeshore Music. “Combine those shows with our popular local artists, such as Beth Lederman and Jazz con Alma and Mike Kocour’s exceptional ensemble, and we have a series that everyone can love.
All seats are reserved and all concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. at Ravenscroft Hall.
