Row House Paradise Valley opens studio doors

Posted

Arizona will soon be home to the nation’s leading rowing fitness concept with the opening of Row House Paradise Valley.

Row House, a popular boutique fitness brand, will celebrate its grand opening on May 14, according to a press release.

Demo classes are available now and the studio will roll into a consistent schedule following the grand opening. Located on the border of Scottsdale and Paradise Valley at 6149 N. Scottsdale Road, Ste. 106, the new studio offers members effective, low-impact and high-energy workouts centered on the rowing machine, or ergometer.

Long recognized by the rowing community as one of the most effective forms of full-body exercise, Row House will provide Paradise Valley and Scottsdale residents an alternative fitness regimen that focuses on the safety and longevity of their bodies. The modern studio welcomes members into an atmosphere centered on comradery and drive, where participants row in-sync on state-of-the-art Concept2 rowing machines, the press release stated.

Row House is owned by Kurt Rupprecht and Cameron Ballinger, two parents with a passion for health, entrepreneurship, and community.

Rupprecht built a boutique financial advisory practice, growing from a solo entrepreneur to a team of 12.

Rowing is Rupprecht’s favorite exercise modality because it “builds bodies up instead of breaking them down.”

Ballinger is an Arizona native born and raised. She is a true athlete at heart, but after several injuries, she switched roles from being on the court/field to coaching, the press release stated. She began coaching teams in college and went on to train in CrossFit. Now, Ballinger spends time on her kids’ sports.

She also found a deep understanding of nutrition after a personal journey with an eating disorder.

Seeing the challenge many face with their eating, fitness, and lifestyle habits inspired Ballinger to build a nutrition practice. The Row House is her next layer in improving the health and wellness of her community.

Both Ballinger and Rupprecht are “in it for each individual who will be adding days to their life,” the press release stated.

Row House Paradise Valley has multiple class offerings — Full Row, Power, Restore, Signature, Strength, and Express — to accommodate all fitness levels.

Utilizing 86% of the body’s muscles, rowing maximizes calorie burn, activates the core, strengthens and lengthens the body and ultimately improves posture.
