Rick Wielebski new aviation director at Scottsdale Airport

Rick Wielebski has been promoted to the aviation director at Scottsdale Airport.

Wielebski has over 20 years of experience in the aviation industry. He joined the City of Scottsdale in November, 2024 as Assistant Aviation Director.

His responsibilities in his new role will include the overall operation and development of the airport and the surrounding aviation community in Scottsdale.

Prior to joining the city, Wielebski was the general manager for Atlantic Aviation at Scottsdale for 10 years. While with Atlantic, he supervised the construction of a $20 million aircraft hangar and executive terminal complex.

Wielebski has previously managed fixed base operators in Seattle, Washington., Tulsa, Oklahoma., and Farmington, New Mexico. His career also includes time spent working at other Arizona airports such as Deer Valley Airport, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, and Prescott Regional Airport.

Wielebski received his Bachelor of Science degree in Airport Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University with a Minor in Business Administration.
