‘Reality Versus Imagination’ exhibit extends through June 26

Posted

Royse Contemporary has announced the extension of the group exhibition examining ideas of reality and imagination, “Reality versus Imagination,” through June 26.

While showcasing seven noteworthy male artists: James Angel, Cam DeCaussin, Gennaro Garcia, Peter Brian Klein, James Anthony Peters, Joe Ray, Daniel Shepherd, according to a press release, the exhibit reflects upon the artists’ perspectives and creative processes.

Owner/curator, Nicole Royse has selected artists who “typify and transcend these categories,” creating powerful work offering a mastery of medium, and unique perspectives.
The exhibition offers an eclectic selection of work described as “captivating and authentic.”

The artists are working in an array of mediums including collage, drawing, painting, photography, and mixed media, the release said.

“Reality Versus Imagination” aims to create a dialogue and connection with the artists while highlighting their use of imagery, diverse styles, and strong voice. Although each artist’s work may appear aesthetically different Royse has created a dialogue for the artists through their power of imagery, originality and vitality that the works possess.

A special Closing Reception will be from 6 to 8 p.m., on Friday, June 24, added the release.
