The Paradise Valley Arts Board plans to initiate an annual event, the PV Studio Arts Tour, in the spring of 2025. The inaugural tour is scheduled for Sunday, April 6, but it will only be a success if local artists get involved.

The event is intended to celebrate resident artists and be an educational experience for attendees, offering a glimpse into the creative process of working artists in Paradise Valley, according to a press release announcing the event. Three Paradise Valley artists will be chosen to participate for the inaugural year. The application is currently available on the town website at paradisevalleyaz.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=443. The deadline to apply is Dec. 31.

Interested artists must demonstrate professional, versus hobby, status through sales of their works or gallery representation. Applicants must live in Paradise Valley and have a working studio in the town, or close by, for the tour.

To apply, interested parties must write a letter of intent to the chair of the PV Arts Board, Colleen Steinberg, at steinberg_az@cox.net. Include your name, address, address of your studio, willingness to have the PV Arts Board or representatives view your art onsite, and willingness to provide water for attendees.

Provide an artist’s statement/résumé and an active website URL. Briefly summarize what you would do for the three 30-minute tours for approximately 12-18 guests. State whether art would be for sale at your studio on the day of the tour.

Notification of selection will be Feb. 15 of next year.
