The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, 6902 E. Greenway Parkway, will welcome pumpkin artist Ray Villafane and a team of former Food Network pumpkin carving champions to host two pumpkin carving classes 10 a.m.-noon and 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8.
The workshop does not involve sharp carving tools and is safe for people of all ages to learn how Villafane crafts his work by hand.
“I am grateful to collaborate with The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa to kick off the fall season,” said Ray Villafane. “It’s always a special experience to watch as families and friends come together and tap into their creative side, transforming ordinary pumpkins into whimsical pieces of art. Pure magic just in time for Halloween.”
Tickets start at $60 and include all carving materials for one of the two-hour live guided instructions. There are no age restrictions to participate.
