Originally scheduled for April 4-5, due to mounting public health concerns, the 40th Annual Phoenix Pride Festival and Parade has been postponed until fall.
Events will be rescheduled for the fall with new festival and parade dates to be announced when confirmed, according to a press release.
So far, the website has noted rescheduled dates for the 40th Annual Phoenix Pride Festival and Parade, with the Festival set to run Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 7-8, and the Parade moving to Saturday, Nov. 7.
Meanwhile, Phoenix Pride’s staff and leadership have been communicating with partners in the relevant local, state and federal government agencies, as well as with vendor and community partners to monitor the public health situation, the release said.
The organization constantly considers the health and safety of the program’s participants of all levels, including staff, vendors, volunteers, performers and guests, the release said, adding that the decision to postpone events was the best, and safest course of action at this time.
