Participate in upcoming Paradise Valley General Plan discussions

Posted

For the past 16 months the Town of Paradise Valley has been reaching out, listening, and engaging with residents as it works to update its General Plan as mandated by state law.

Throughout this process resident input has been key to creating the draft that continues to emphasize the town’s vision for a primarily one-acre residential community.

The Planning Commission and the Town Council reviewed and discussed resident comments at their public meetings in January 2022. As a result of these discussions and the community input received, edits were made to the plan. Major washes that run through town are now shown on both the Land Use Map and the Open Space Map.

A glossary has been added to help make the document more user-friendly. Finally, two new action items have been added to the action table in the implementation section: 1- Effective monitoring and maintaining of Town-controlled washes and; 2- Public processes to review and evaluate Town-owned properties.

The Paradise Valley, Together 2022 General Plan – “Public Hearing” draft being presented to the Town’s Planning Commission and Town Council will be available for residents to review and/or download beginning Saturday, Jan. 29 on the project website: www.pvtogether2022.com.

A copy is also available for review during business hours at either Town Hall (Community Development Front Desk) or the Engineering/Public Works Building; both buildings are located on the Town Hall Campus at 6401 E.  Lincoln Drive.

The “Public Hearing” draft plan will be presented to the Planning Commission for their consideration and recommendation in February and to the Town Council for their consideration and adoption in March.
