For the tenth year in a row, the Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix will host Boys to Men, an annual festival promoting community-wide access to choral training and development for young male singers.

This year’s Boys to Men concert will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 at Camelback Bible Church, 3900 E. Stanford Drive in Paradise Valley. Tickets are $5 and are available at the door.

Junior high and high school male singers will come together with Orpheus and the men of Phoenix Chorale for an afternoon of education and inspiration.

A concert consisting of performances from participating choruses and the mass choir of more than 250 singers will then follow, according to a press release.

Schools and youth choral groups participating in the 2019 Boys to Men are Academy of Tucson; Apache Junction High School; Arrowhead Christian Academy; Brophy Preparatory Academy; Chandler Preparatory Academy; Desert Vista High School; North High School; Phoenix Boys Choir; Phoenix Children’s Chorus; and Pinnacle High School.

Leading the mass choir will be Andrea Squires, conductor of concert choir and music literacy instructor with Phoenix Children’s Chorus; Mark Simmons, director of choral activities and professor of music at the University of Tennessee at Martin; and Danya Tiller, artistic director of the Phoenix Girls Chorus.
