National Charity League Mother-Daughter Tea 2019 sips in tradition

The annual National Charity League Mother-Daughter Tea was steeped in a time-honored tradition along with Lot35 tea flavors Creamy Earl Gray and Flora’s Garden Berry.
The NCL Scottsdale Chapter continues honoring the tradition of “taking time and taking tea” among mothers and daughters known as Patronesses and Ticktockers since the 1950s, according to a press release.
Organized by Paradise Valley resident and chairwomen Oriana Lehman Wood of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s and Lisa Meyer of Arcadia Proper, the host property was The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess for the NCL chapter’s record-breaking turnout.
Freshman Xavier Gator Daughters served as president and treasurer for the class of 2023 Ticktocker members manned the Service of Afternoon Tea. A record-setting 290 celebrated the tradition of “Taking Tea.”
The center of attention were the 26 hosting Freshwomen Ladies led by Rylie Francesca Wood, an Xavier Freshwoman and President of the NCL Ticktocker Class of 2023.
