Michael Waltrip Brewing distributes ‘Two-Time’ beer through Hensley Beverage Company

Posted

Phoenix-based Michael Waltrip Brewing Company has announced a distribution agreement with Hensley Beverage Company, which is noted as Arizona’s largest beer and beverage distributor.

Founded in 1955, Hensley Beverage Company is known for its Anheuser-Busch InBev portfolio as well as for championing local and regional brands, with a distribution territory that covers most of the state, according to a press release.

Waltrip Brewing's Two-Time beer brand initially features a lineup of a “Blonde” Ale; “Checkered Past,” a coconut India Pale Ale; and “Vamanos,” a Mexican-style Lager, with year-round and seasonal selections planned, the release said.

Each beer has a story behind it with some clever and subtle references to racing, capitalizing on the personality of its two-time Daytona champion founder.

“We are truly pleased to be able to partner with Hensley Beverage Company on the distribution of our Two-Time line of lagers and ales,” said Michael Waltrip, two-time Daytona 500 champion and FOX Sports NASCAR color announcer, in a prepared statement.

“I had a chance to visit the leadership and some of the team at Hensley right before the pandemic. What a great group of people. We couldn’t be happier to be part of the Hensley portfolio.”

Bryan R. Sperber, Michael Waltrip Brewing Company CEO, stated that he has had the pleasure of working with the team at Hensley for many years.

“So, I know firsthand what a quality organization they have. To be able to partner with them is an amazing opportunity and we really appreciate their enthusiasm for our brand and the Michael Waltrip Brewing Company,” Mr. Sperber said.

Michael Waltrip Brewing Company is launched by the iconic motor sports champion whose company’s Two-Time beer brand results from his quest to create better beers that are described as “easy to drink, approachable and filled with quality ingredients and brewed with craftsmanship,” the release added.
