More and more universities continue to announce their graduates and dean’s lists from the spring and summer semesters, naming many local students from Scottsdale and Paradise Valley.
Nicholas George Williams of Scottsdale was among 626 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during a combined graduate and undergraduate commencement ceremony on Aug. 13 at Pinnacle Bank Arena, a press release detailed.
Williams earned a master of business administration from the university’s office of graduate studies.
In addition, previous graduates who were unable to attend their ceremonies due to the COVID-19 pandemic were celebrated. Four returned to be recognized, the release stated.
At Baylor University in Waco, Texas, its list of spring graduates and dean’s list included students from Scottsdale, Paradise Valley and Fountain Hills.
More than 3,000 Baylor University graduates — including nearly 90 graduates who completed their degree requirements in 2020 and 2021 — received their degrees during four commencement ceremonies on May 13-14 in the Ferrell Center, according to a press release.
From Scottsdale, students who graduated include Tillea Baltzell, Jack Oldham Everroad, Andrew Oscar Lindbloom, Luke J. Reardon, Matthew Welz and Cameron George Werner.
As for academic honors at the university, more than 4,800 Baylor students were named to the dean’s academic honor list for the spring 2022 semester, a release stated.
Scottsdale students who made the list are Bailey Day, Voula Doulaveris, Kaitlyn Giali, Kimberly Gilderoy, Sean Holford, Zachary Hudson, Shelby Johnson, Andrea Kotlarz, Jack Kurschat, Brielle Larson, Andrew Lindbloom, Jacqueline Melvin, Kian Nicoletti, Jillian O’Neill, Cam Pickle, Luke Reardon, Annarose Saba, Bella Sifert, Nia Spilotro, Cameron Werner and Lannah Kate Whittington
Additionally, Evan Goodman and Lily Goodman from Fountain Hills as well as Katie Darden from Paradise Valley were named as part of Baylor's spring 2022 dean’s list.
