Keister: Thank you for helping us write a new chapter n Paradise Valley

Posted

Our sincere thanks to Paradise Valley’s mayor and council, its Planning Commission, town staff, our new neighbors, and the community at large for allowing the revitalization of the SmokeTree property to move forward. Town council approval would not have happened without the valuable input we received from all. The property holds a special place for and in Paradise Valley, and we will respect that legacy as we transform the shuttered buildings into a boutique resort.

We held numerous open houses to keep residents informed and to seek their opinions as to what they would like to see. And we listened.

The result is an intimate resort that fits the character of the surrounding neighborhood. In addition to welcoming visitors from out of town, we want the new resort to be “Paradise Valley’s Living Room,” a place where the people who live in Paradise Valley can meet, dine and get to know their neighbors, much in the tradition of the Other Place restaurant which was located on the site.

Many consider the property, on Lincoln Drive near Scottsdale Road, to be Paradise Valley’s front door. As the revitalization moves forward, it will be exciting to watch the property’s transformation from a series of neglected buildings into a new, iconic resort that will welcome tourists and residents to our wonderful town. Thank you again to all, for all. We will continue to strive to make you proud.
