Impact Diversity Solutions Corp. gives surgical masks to senior home care groups

Valleywise Health Foundation, Impact Diversity Solutions Corporation Chairman/CEO Charles D. Brown recently donated 30,000 surgical masks to Valleywise Health partners, Home Assist Health and Bandera Healthcare.

Valleywise Health Foundation was introduced to IDSC through Capital One Bank’s Market Executive Sel Nutor, who is a Valleywise Health Foundation board member.

Mr. Nutor, according to a press release, notes his supports for the diverse community that Valleywise Health serves.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to work with Valleywise Health Foundation to support these organizations on the front lines of COVID-19. As a minority owned organization, it is our philosophy to give back to our community in any way we can. Our motto is to ‘Do well by doing good,’” said Mr. Brown in a prepared statement.

Noting the importance of helping the community, he stated how in the last six months many skilled nursing and home health organizations were unable to fulfill all their protective equipment needs, including the urgent need for masks.

“I’m happy to have connected with Charles and IDSC, and what they were able to make happen, especially as a family-owned business during these uncertain times, is incredibly impactful and appreciated,” said Mr. Nutor in a prepared statement.

The COVID-19 pandemic, the release said, highlighted the need to elevate diverse and underserved residents of Maricopa County, many of whom are treated at Valleywise Health and its care partners.

“We are incredibly grateful for this generous donation of 20,000 face masks. This gift will help protect our more than 700 caregivers and 800 Arizona residents living with the challenges of aging, physical, developmental disabilities and COVID-19 recovered patients,” said Home Assist Health CEO Sara Wilson in a prepared statement.

She thanked Impact Diversity Solutions and Valleywise Health Foundation, which enabled her to ensure proper protection to the most vulnerable population so that can remain at home, “aging safely in place,” Ms. Wilson said.

“As the COVID-19 pandemic has caused international shortages in PPE, Bandera Healthcare is incredibly grateful for the generous PPE donation from Impact Diversity Solutions.

This donation will provide PPE support to the staff across our 32 skilled nursing facilities in Arizona,” said Lisa Leveque, vice president of Strategic Alignment & Care Transformation, Bandera Healthcare, in a prepared statement.
