After serious consideration, I am proud to endorse Vice Mayor Mark Stanton for Paradise Valley mayor.
I have known Mark for 20 years and served for two years with him on council. Mark has deep ties to Paradise Valley, having grown up here, and he is fully committed to serving our community. Mark is the only candidate who has served at the local, county and state levels of government, and it’s this experience that is needed more than ever.
The town staff is new and our demographics are changing. We need a leader who understands that Paradise Valley is not an island, but instead a resilient community that works with our neighboring cities to provide fire, water and sewer services for our residents. Mark recently received the endorsement of the Phoenix Firefighters Association, Local 493.
Mark has served eight years on the council and two terms as vice mayor. He also served as deputy director for the Arizona Office of Tourism, so he knows firsthand how important tourism is to Paradise Valley, as well as to our state.
This is the type of leadership we need, and Mark is the candidate we can trust to lead us forward. Please join me in voting for Mark Stanton for Paradise Valley mayor by mail or in person on Nov. 5.
