We saved the best month for last! January is wonderful, the time for a new beginning. February is even better. March, wow! You get the idea. Since each one builds on the one before, December, number 12, has a huge advantage.
Here is another perk. It gets even more of a boost from the words “gifts” and “giving.” Creating a gift-giving list is always fun. Even though the old way was all about what to buy for friends and family, this new kind is about what to do for them. These caring thoughts are great for both “giving” and “getting.”
While normal gift-giving could be expensive, this kind does not cost a penny, and it has the added benefit of not even needing any wrapping. Just the opposite, these are wrap-ups that help you tie up the loose ends of your year. Here are a couple of samples.
Here is another twist. If the holiday is “for giving,” it must also be “forgiving.” Try out a couple like these, too.
If holidays are for “giving, getting” and “forgiving,” they must also be “forgetting.” “Forget” whatever it is that is not positive for the new year!
Use this 12th month to get ready for that new year ahead. New beginnings await. Think of every upcoming experience as a “gift” to “give” and “get.” Since we are all a product of our experiences, it is important to make them as good as possible. As the holidays roll on, remember these four words — “Give, Get, Forgive” and “Forget.” They are the gifts of everyday life.
