EPCOR USA, one of the largest private utilities in the Southwest, announced it has received 37 Water Safety Awards at the 98th Annual AZ Water Conference, an event focused on advancing the quality, sustainability and resilience of water resources, according to a press release.
Hosted by AZ Water, the state-level association of the American Water Works Association and Water Environment Federation, the three-day educational event features technical sessions, according to the release, as well as hands-on workshops, exhibitions displaying innovative technologies and a prestigious awards program that recognizes excellence in Arizona’s water sector.
The Water Safety Awards honor organizations that demonstrate continued excellence in safety and operations across water treatment plants, wastewater treatment or reclamation facilities, water distribution systems and wastewater collection systems, the release continued.
“Safety is foundational to everything we do — from delivering safe, reliable services to our customers to protecting our employees, partners, communities and the environment,” said Shawn Bradford, EPCOR senior vice president, Regulated US Water. “We are honored to receive these awards that reflect the dedication, expertise and professionalism of our teams who strive every day to deliver the highest standards of safety and excellence across all our operations.”
With this year’s recognition, EPCOR has now received over 300 Water Safety Awards.
