As we travelled around the Valley looking for a place to call home in our retirement, we visited Sun City. I found the number of Trump flags on display puzzling.
Social Security and retirement investments are so important to retirees. Did they not know his agenda? Did they not look at their portfolio in 2020, when he last reigned? Since March we've lost $25,000 because of the president's tariff folly. The gains after his flip-flopping didn't cover the losses.
In 2024, under the Biden/Harris policies, our retirement nest egg did really well. Why would retired people on a fixed income and dependent on a strong and stable stock market think Project 2025 or DOGE was in their financial interest? Where do our neighbors get their information?
