I certainly agree with a high percentage of what (Musk) presented, most of which will take some serious lifting.
I think one of the biggest problems is the size of the government. We have literally millions of people working for the federal government, many of whom are either redundant or not really necessary at all. Many years ago, I witnessed this firsthand when working on government programs while with IBM. Since then, I am quite sure it has gotten much worse.
Within this area are huge departments like education and the EPA that could be dramatically reduced in size, or possibly eliminated altogether. Many of the federal programs could and perhaps should be handled by the states. The jobs reports the current administration brag about are unfortunately mainly government jobs.
I recently saw a listing of all the government agencies that exist today, and it was ridiculous. I think Mr. Musk and Vivek have a tremendous amount of low-hanging fruit which is ripe for the picking and will offer some early results for their mission.
Now the Democrats are threatening to “fight” Trump and his agenda every step of the way. Several blue state governors are vowing that they will not cooperate with ICE and have no interest in any “mass deportation” scheme. When will these people learn that we should put our country first in everything President Trump is trying to accomplish? He is not in it for the money or power, in my opinion, but mainly as a patriot who wants to do what is best for the future of our country. We can only pray he stays safe and is as successful as he can be in four years.
Hopefully J.D. Vance, or someone close to President Trump, will then be ready to carry on to further accomplish what President Trump has started.
