Ascension Lutheran Church installs new pastor

Rev. Randy L. Winsand was formally installed to the office of pastor of Ascension Lutheran Church by the Rev. Deborah K. Hutterer, bishop of the Grand Canyon Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America on Dec. 14.
Rev. Winsand comes to Ascension from Resurrection Lutheran Church in Oro Valley, where he served first as Outreach Minister and then as Executive Pastor.
He completed his Master of Divinity in 2013 at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota and prior to the seminary was the administrator of an assisted living facility near Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He served as Solo Pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Luckey, Ohio before his time at Resurrection.
Pastor Randy has substantial qualifications as both a pastor and administrator, according to a press release. Ascension looks forward to a bright future under his leadership.
Ascension is located at 7100 N. Mockingbird Lane in Paradise Valley.
