A Valley nonprofit, Artlink, is hosting its ninth annual Art d’Core Gala on March 11, 2022 at Park Central, 3121 N. 3rd Ave., in Phoenix, to raise funds for programs that support Arizona’s arts and culture community.
Art d’Core is the signature event in the lineup for the 34th annual Art Detour, Phoenix’s original art walk event, which spans an entire month, according to a press release, and is an all-inclusive celebration of art, creativity and culture that features events and exhibitions statewide.
The gala returns with a new theme, “Forces of Attraction,” that invites those who contribute to and support the arts – including artists, collectors, philanthropists and community partners – to join in celebration of the massive growth of Arizona’s art community in recent years.
The creative spin on a traditional gala shines a spotlight on Arizona’s creative communities with an artist showcase produced by members of the Artlink Artist Council and invited artists, the release said, noting gala guests will experience a range of works in a debut exhibition of visual, performing, fashion and culinary arts.
“We look forward to welcoming back the community to this signature celebration of the arts and culture community that spotlights the great accomplishments and contributions of our creative culture,” said Catrina Kahler, Artlink president and CEO in a release. “Artists, patrons and party goers are in for elevated arts experience not to be missed.”
Artlink has announced Sharon Harper, chairman and CEO of Plaza Companies, as chairperson of the event.
“I am honored to serve as chair of the 2022 Art d’Core Gala,” said Harper in the release. “I have seen first-hand the power of art in Phoenix, and I am thrilled to be collaborating with Artlink, showcasing the rapidly growing arts and culture community in our state.”
She is among Arizona’s premier business leaders, who has “infused the arts into Park Central, SkySong and other Plaza Companies developments, as a model to others that arts and culture are integral to the vibrancy of a community,” added the release.
Tickets will be available to purchase in January. Creative cocktail attire is encouraged, according to the release.
