A multi-agency intergovernmental agreement — including the Town of Paradise Valley and cities of Mesa, Apache Junction, Phoenix and Scottsdale — for participation in the Arizona Child Abduction Response Team, will be considered at the Feb. 10 meeting of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors.

The towns of Gilbert, Maricopa and Paradise Valley and the cities of Apache Junction, Chandler, Mesa, Phoenix and Scottsdale are known collectively as the Arizona CART agencies. Upon the supervisors’ approval, Maricopa County will also be a participating agency.
“It is a non-financial agreement and each participating agency is responsible for its own employees and costs. The purpose of this agreement is to provide a pool of specialized investigators which are available to focus dedicated and intensive investigative, preventative, and general law enforcement efforts primarily with regard to cases involving abducted children,” according to the agenda.
