Meredith, 78, of Sun City West, AZ, passed away, going to his heavenly home, January 24, 2021, in Sun City West, AZ. Meredith was born May 20, 1942 in Brookport, Illinois.
Meredith moved to the southwest as a young man, first living in New Mexico and then in 1978 he moved to Arizona where he lived for the remainder of his life. He retired from Karsten Ping as a mechanical engineer.
He was known for being a humble and gentle servant for the Lord. He and his wife of 58 years, Pat, were Sojourners with the Church of Christ often working at Bible Camps. He was the truest definition of a “handy-man”. In addition to working with the Sojourners, Meredith loved road trips and traveling with his wife, especially to Alaska, where he enjoyed fishing. He also played cards regularly with friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pat; daughter, Sheri Legg (David); son, Robert Gower (Tammie); 3 sisters; and 6 grandchildren: Jesse, Kyla and Rachel Gower, Taylor Erickson, Hunter and Paisley Legg.
The family will have a quiet celebration of his life as no public services are planned.
