The Arizona Daily Star in Tucson columnist, Ms. Cleere recently released her sixth historical nonfiction book, “Military Wives in Arizona Territory: A History of Women Who Shaped the Frontier.”

Combining these women’s words with original research and tracing their movements from camp to camp, according to a press release, she explores the tragedies and triumphs they experienced.

Her monthly column, “Western Women,” appears in the Arizona Daily Star and online at Tucson.com/Western Women, the release said, adding her freelance work appears in national and regional publications.

Details about her can be found at JanCleere.com and questions can be emailed to Jan@JanCleere.com, the release noted.
