Valley View Home Watch in Mesa has earned accreditation for its Home Watch services from the National Home Watch Association.
The NHWA was established in 2009 to establish and maintain the highest industry standards for home watch and absentee homeowner services throughout the U.S. and Canada, according to a release.
Home Watch is a visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues, which means that it is a service that “keeps an eye on things” at your vacation or primary home while you are not in residence. All principals of NHWA accredited member companies are background-checked, insured and bonded.
Mother-and-daughter team Aurea and Riley Emery own Valley View Home Watch. Originally from New York, Aurea has lived in the East Valley since 2013 with her husband of 20 years and two daughters. She has been a homeowner for over 24 years and grew up surrounded by family who managed rental properties and small businesses, so that kind of responsibility is in her blood, according to the release.
Riley Emery is an Arizona State University student working toward a degree in business administration with a minor in family and human development. She has always wanted to start something of her own, and lately she’s wanted to apply what she’s learning in school. Starting something with her mom felt like the right move; it’s allowed them to spend more time together and do something that matters to them. Riley has worked in child care since she was 13 and loves caring for people, so it’s no surprise that she is drawn to work centered around trust and care. Riley has lived in Mesa for over 12 years and can’t imagine calling anywhere else home, the release states.
