Swimkids offers classes in two Olympic sports, swimming and gymnastics

During the 2021 Summer Olympic Games, everyone at Swimkids USA, 2725 W. Guadalupe Road in Mesa, is not only cheering on the USA Olympic team competing in Tokyo but they will also be cheering on their own Swimkids Olympians.

Swimkids offers classes in two Olympic sports — swimming and gymnastics. Knowing that Olympic dreams often begin in places just like Swimkids, the business has created an opportunity for children to do a swim or gym activity and then have their moment on their special champion stand. That child will be cheered on and awarded their own Swimkids Olympian medal, according to a release.

“Not every child is going to be an Olympian, but we want to give every child their special moment to shine, because to us, they are all champions,” Lana Whitehead, president and owner of Swimkids USA, said in the release.

The Olympics offer parents an opportunity to showcase important values including:

  • Sportsmanship and team spirit;
  • Children will observe patriotism and pride for a country; and
  • Differences in cultures, diversity and inclusion.

There will be a photo gallery featuring Swimkids Olympians created on the Swimkids USA website.
