Southeast Mesa Library topic of Sept. 27 online meeting

Posted

Learn about plans for the Southeast Mesa Library to be constructed at 5036 S. Eastmark Parkway in Mesa at a live online virtual public meeting 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27.

A short presentation will be given followed by a question-and-comment session to gather input on the design of the new library.

Registration is required from a link at mesaaz.gov/Home/Components/Calendar/Event/12732/1344.

For questions, email Engineering.Info@MesaAZ.gov and include  “Southeast Mesa Library Virtual Public Meeting (#2)” in the subject line.

The full-functioning library will have similar amenities to the Main, Red Mountain and Dobson Ranch libraries. The library will provide services to residents of all ages with an emphasis on a modern library feel and the use of technology to streamline services.

The library project is funded by the 2018 bond election for arts and culture. Design is underway and construction is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2023.
