Sensory Santa event a unique holiday experience for special needs families

Posted

Christ’s Church of the Valley is hosting a Sensory Santa special Christmas event designed for children and adults with special needs and their families.

This experience will take place 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at the church’s Peoria, East Valley and Surprise campuses, including at 1330 S. Crismon Road in Mesa.

Sensory Santa offers a calm, welcoming environment where individuals with sensory sensitivities can enjoy festive activities, meet Santa Claus, and capture treasured holiday photos in a way that’s accessible and inclusive, according to a release.

“Our Sensory Santa event is a beautiful way to bring Christmas cheer to families who may find traditional holiday settings overwhelming,” said Laura Moller, special needs director at CCV. “We believe that every family deserves the chance to create joyful memories, and we are honored to provide an environment where all feel welcomed and valued.”

Families interested in attending can register at www.ccv.church/sensorysanta. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.
