Residents at Broadway Mesa Village Assisted Living and Memory Care were dressed up with funny signs and costumes Nov. 15 for a “walkerthon” to raise funds for the local Alzheimer’s Association.
Teresa Hadley, Life enrichment director of the community at 7231 E. Broadway Road in Mesa, said they wanted to raise money in a unique way.
“The Broadway Mesa Village residents love to give back and have such a passion for raising awareness,” she said in a release. “Many were completely on board to dress up and spread the word.”
The Desert Southwest Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association is still taking donations at alz.org/dsw.
