Senior Helpers, which provides personalized in-home senior care, recently opened a site at 6336 E. Brown Road Suite No. 101 in Mesa to be managed and operated by Shaun and Tiffany Phelan.

The new location will serve senior citizens and their families throughout Mesa and Apache Junction and hopes to bring 75 new jobs to the region over the next year, according to a release.

Senior Helpers’ professionally trained caregivers will help local seniors continue to enjoy the comfort of their own home despite age-related illnesses and mobility challenges, it states.

“My husband and I believe helping people is our calling,” Tiffany Phelan said in the release. “We have loved the experiences we’ve had helping seniors and their families navigate the challenges of aging and maintaining independence. Being able to provide ongoing training to our team members while helping them help others has been our passion for a combined 35 years.”

Tiffany Phelan is passionate about caring for the senior population and is committed to supporting her caregivers with continued education training to help renew their skills, confidence and passion for their profession. She is dedicated to serving members of her community and is looking forward to adding Mesa to her growing list of Senior Helpers locations, the release states.

Senior Helpers caregivers in Mesa are trained to offer the highest level of care possible based on the company’s Senior Gems Alzheimer’s and Dementia care program. The program was developed in conjunction with nationally recognized dementia care expert Teepa Snow, Positive Approach LLC. Local residents will also benefit from the company’s Parkinson’s Care Program, a specialized training program for their caregivers created in conjunction with leading experts from the Parkinson’s Foundation’s Centers of Excellence network.

“As a successful long-standing franchise owner, we’re thrilled to see Tiffany expand her locations within Arizona and beyond,” Peter Ross, chief executive officer of Senior Helpers, said in the release. “She brings a profound passion and understanding for the importance of in-home senior care, which will be pivotal to her continued success. We know Tiffany’s dedication will continue to serve her and her team well and be rewarding for seniors and families living in Mesa and the surrounding area.”
