Reed Park improvements meeting Oct. 4 in Mesa

Work funded through a community development block grant for improvements at Reed Park will be discussed at an in-person, open-house meeting 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at Eagles Community Center, 828 E. Broadway Road in Mesa.

Project exhibits will be on display and city of Mesa staff will be available to answer questions.
Improvements planned at Reed Park, 1631 E. Broadway Road, include Americans with Disabilities Act upgrades, replacing existing play structures with new equipment, adding shade structures and safety surfacing such as a rubberized surface and engineered wood fiber. Also, the existing play structures will be replaced with new equipment for 2-5 year olds, 5-12 year olds and exercise equipment for ages 14 and up.
