Realty's agent raises money through Toys for Tots drive

Kim Peterson, an agent affiliated with the Mesa-Gilbert office of Coldwell Banker Realty Arizona, hosted a successful Toys for Tots Drive, collecting $1,575 and dozens of toys.

For the drive, she partnered with Arizonian RV Resort residents, Gene and Holly Johnson, as well as Cindy Leivestad, the activities coordinator of the Arizonian RV Resort in Gold Canyon, to collect toys via community-sponsored walk. Residents were encouraged to walk, seek sponsors and donate toys.

“It is part of the Coldwell Banker culture to support the best charitable organizations in the world, which is why I was drawn to Coldwell Banker Realty in the first place,” Peterson said in a release. “I hope the gifts we were able to provide through this drive make the holidays brighter for children in need.”

For the $10 ‘10K,’ Gene and Holly Johnson donated $10 per walker up to $200. Other participants donated toys and even matched the Johnsons’ donation.

After the success of this year’s event, there are plans to make this an annual fundraising event.
