A special use permit to allow a height exception for a hotel in an airfield overlay district will be considered Wednesday by the Mesa Board of Adjustment.
A study session begins at 4:30 p.m. and a meeting at 5:30 p.m. July 6 in the lower City Council Chambers, 57 E. First St.
The hotel is to be constructed north of East Baseline Road on the west side of South Crismon Road in a limited commercial zone with a planned area development overlay district.
The four-story hotel is to have a maximum height of 57 feet; the planned area development overlay allows a base height of 51 feet. Per the Mesa zoning ordinance, a special use permit is required to allow an exception to the required height limit within the airfield overlay district, according to city records.
