P.E.O., an international organization of women whose mission is to promote educational opportunities for women, has a Gold Canyon chapter.

For the past two years, Chapter ES of Gold Canyon has given a local scholarship to a graduating senior from Apache Junction High School.

This year the scholarship recipient is Hannah Molinio.

She will be attending Mesa Community College in the fall to receive her nursing license.

She then plans to attend Northern Arizona University for a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.
