Mesa rangers take visitors on a black light scorpion hunt
(City of Mesa)

INDEPENDENT NEWSMEDIA
Mesa park rangers will be out and ready to take visitors on a scorpion night hike twice this month.
On Fridays, Sept. 8 and 22, the hikes will take place 7-9 p.m. at Red Mountain Park. The meeting spot will be at the east end of the Red Mountain Multi-Generational Center, 7550 E. Adobe St., Mesa.
No registration is required for the free event, and black lights will be provided.
All ages are welcome, but rangers recommend participants are 4 and up so safety directions can be followed.
Participants should wear sturdy shoes and bring water bottles and blacklights if they own them.
