Mesa police are searching for a man in connection with an attempted sexual assault of a minor that occurred just before 9 p.m. Feb. 3 in the 300 block of North 75th Street.

The man, described as Black between 25 and 40 years old, had left the area on foot by the time police arrived, according to a release.

Police said he is 5-feet-10 with a medium build, a goatee-style beard and dark “spiky hair.” He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with a white logo and dark pants.

“The Mesa Police Department in conjunction with the Mesa Crime Lab have been working diligently on this case since Saturday night, canvassing the neighborhood and expediting forensic evidence, hoping for a break in the case,” the release stated.

Police said anyone with information should call the department at 480-644–2211.
