Mesa Parks and Recreation creating community rock gardens in 7 locations

February is #LoveMyPark month in Mesa and to celebrate, Mesa Parks and Recreation is creating community rock gardens in seven locations around the municipality.

“Our hope is to spread more kindness, love, smiles and fun throughout our community,” according to a release.

“You can help our gardens grow by adding your own painted rocks, as long as they are kid-friendly and smaller than a baseball. Share the love by posting a photo of you and your finished rocks and tag us on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. We are excited to watch our gardens grow,” the release states.

Community rock gardens are at:

  • Countryside Park, 3130 E Southern Ave, Mesa, AZ 85204
  • Dobson Ranch Park, 2359 S Dobson Rd, Mesa, AZ 85202
  • Eagles Park, 828 E. Broadway Rd. Mesa, AZ 85204
  • Jefferson Recreation Center, 120 S. Jefferson Ave., Mesa, AZ 85208
  • Red Mountain Park, 7745 E. Brown Rd, Mesa, AZ 85207
  • Riverview Park, 2100 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Mesa, AZ, 85201
