Registration has begun for youth summer camps to be held at Mesa Arts Center.
Get ready for a summer of creativity at MAC, 1 E. Main St., from blacksmithing and jewelry-making to comics, ceramics and more.
“The youth camps offer exciting, hands-on experiences to spark imagination and fun. Start planning your summer adventure now,” a release states.
An example is the eight-day June 17-27 clay monster madness class for ages 9-12 where participants will use beginner hand-building techniques to sculpt their favorite monsters and animals.
“We’ll learn how to make a monster mask, creature pinch pots, trinket holders, sleeping dragons, and other functional and decorative forms. Finally, we will use food safe glazes to paint our critters. Bring your creativity and get ready to play with clay! We will provide all materials including clay,” the description states at https://mesaartscenter.com/youthcamps.
