Mesa ambulance involved in crash responding to motorcycle collision

A Mesa ambulance was responding to a collision when it was struck by a vehicle Sunday morning, Mesa police said.

The first collision occurred about 9 a.m. May 12 at Emerson and Baseline Road and involved  two vehicles, one of which was a motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital with serious injuries that are considered life threatening, police said.

The  collsion involving the ambulance occurred at Iron and Country Club Drive.

Police did not report any injuries in that crash.
