Loop 202 Santan Freeway overnight restrictions Saturday

Posted

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for ramp closures as well as intermittent rolling closures along east- and west-bound Loop 202 Santan Freeway in areas between Interstate 10 and Kyrene Road from 7 p.m. Saturday, March 27, to 4 a.m. Sunday, March 28, for Salt River Project overhead power line installation.

The following ramps will also be restricted during this time:

  • All I-10 ramps to eastbound Loop 202 will be closed.
  • East- and west-bound I-10 on-ramps from Loop 202 will be closed.
  • Westbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Kyrene Road will be closed intermittently as needed.

Drivers should consider alternate routes including Chandler Boulevard or eastbound Queen Creek Road to access Loop 202 from northbound Price Road.

Intermittent closures of Loop 202 will start after 10 p.m. Saturday night. Schedules are subject to change. ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while work is underway, the release states.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.

For more information, call the ADOT Bilingual Project Information Line at 855-712-8530 or go to azdot.gov/contact and select Projects from the drop-down menu.

For real-time highway conditions statewide, visit ADOT’s Traveler Information Site at az511.gov, follow ADOT on Twitter @ArizonaDOT or call 511, except while driving.
