An Arizona manufacturer of reusable three-ply masks is hosting a job fair Sept. 12 and 15 with the goal of adding 150 people to its new manufacturing plant in Mesa.
The US Power AZ PPE job fair will be held at the Sheraton Mesa Hotel's Wrigleyville Conference Center, 860 N. Riverview, noon-5 p.m. Saturday and 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15.
“We are looking for Arizona’s best to join our team in the fight against COVID-19,” Kevin Thorpe, president of Power PPE, said in the release. “With mandatory mask orders in place and a large vulnerable population in Arizona, we are proud to offer top-of-the-line ‘Made in the U.S.A.’ PPE products that are manufactured locally in Mesa.”
Power PPE is hiring for both full- and part-time positions; training will be provided for all roles. Available positions include controller, quality control supervisor, quality control line operator, assembly line lead shift supervisor, assembly line operator, material handling, shipping and receiving, shipping box stocker. The company is hiring for all shifts and the plant will operate seven days a week.
The new manufacturing location will assemble Power PPE’s Power3 reusable smart mask. The three-ply masks use patented smart filter technology to protect users from airborne particulates, the release states.
