H3 Phoenix starts fundraiser to benefit Mesa children’s home
Posted
“Sunshine Acres is an incredible organization that has done so much to house and care for children dealing with homelessness, trauma and abuse.”
Dave Kotter, H3 founder
Scottsdale community group H3 Phoenix recently announced it is conducting a summer fundraiser for Sunshine Acres Children’s Home in Mesa.
H3 is looking to raise $50,000 for the children’s’ home in community donations by mid-July. All proceeds will go to Sunshine Acres efforts to provide counseling for children, according to a release.
Sunshine Acres Children’s Home, 3405 N. Higley Road in Mesa, is a privately funded family group home founded in 1954. The organization houses 67 children and has housed more than 2,000 children since its founding.
Sunshine Acres provides the emotional, social, physical, educational and spiritual support for the children in their care, so they may learn to manage their own affairs along with maximizing the development of their potential, abilities and interests. Their goal is to facilitate a child’s ability to function within a community environment in a style that is both meaningful and purposeful to themselves and the community.
Dave Kotter, H3 founder and owner of Scottsdale commercial loan brokerage Integrity Capital LLC, said he and the members of H3 are honored to work with the community to raise funds for an amazing organization, the release states.
“Sunshine Acres is an incredible organization that has done so much to house and care for children dealing with homelessness, trauma and abuse,” Kotter said. “We are excited to work with our generous community to raise funds to help these kids receive the resources they need to have abundant and happy lives.”
H3 is an organization of Arizona business professionals and nonprofit professionals looking to cultivate an environment of generosity that creates thoughtful leaders who focus on community first, the release states.
