Full closure extended on McKellips Road, Loop 101 to Alma School Road, to July 3

Following the Fourth of July weekend, all traffic will be moved to the north side of McKellips Road beginning at 5 a.m. Monday, July 7 to provide one lane for each direction of traffic.

The Maricopa County Department of Transportation continues construction of the McKellips Road improvement project within the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.
The closure currently in place, which was to open originally on Friday, May 23, will now be extended until 5 p.m. Thursday, July 3, to allow for completion of a box culvert installation, according to a release.
Following the Fourth of July weekend, all traffic will be moved to the north side of McKellips Road beginning at 5 a.m. Monday, July 7 to provide one lane for each direction of traffic.
Watch for work crews, obey all traffic control signs and follow reduced speeds in the work zone. Schedule is subject to change for reasons beyond MCDOT’s control.
