East Valley Institute of Technology Education Foundation Inc. will host its 15th-annual gourmet breakfast fundraiser in early November to help raise scholarship funds for East Valley students looking to learn a trade or embark on a particular post-high school career path.
The foundation’s largest annual fundraiser, the breakfast combines a gourmet meal prepared by culinary students with guest speakers, student stories, a silent auction and other fanfare, according to a release.
It starts at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, with check-in starting at 7 a.m., in the Culinary Arts Banquet Hall on the EVIT Campus, 1601 W. Main St. in Mesa.

The fundraiser furthers the EVIT Education Foundation’s goal of helping students of limited means adopt the skills they need to land lucrative jobs. This school year alone, the EVIT Education Foundation has helped nearly 300 local students undergo vocational and career-training concurrently while receiving their high school education. However, the need for scholarships continues to grow.
EVIT Education Foundation board members hope that this year’s breakfast will be the most successful yet and will help a growing list of interested students secure the funding they need to move forward in their chosen fields, the release states.
