Eegee’s to open Mesa location Dec. 14

Posted

Eegee’s will open at Crismon Road and U.S. Highway 60 in Mesa on Dec. 14 for dine-in and takeout, offering online ordering and contactless pick-up.

The restaurant, 1460 S. Crismon Road in Mesa, will be open 9:30 a.m.-9 p.m. seven days a week, with the drive-thru open until 10 p.m.

The Mesa location will feature a new prototype, designed by Flatiron Group, including a drive-thru with an eegee-only window so that those ordering the frozen drink can conveniently pick up their order and exit the line, according to a release.

The prototype, which additional Valley locations will be modeled after, is built using sustainable structural insulated panels, which are made from renewable resources, are 100% recyclable and allow for faster construction. The 2,300-square-foot space also features separate walk-up order and pickup windows. Its dining room seats up to 30 and is partially enclosed by garage doors, allowing guests to enjoy eegee’s al fresco during the cooler months.

“We were thrilled with the welcome we received at the debut of eegee’s in Gilbert,” Ron Petty, CEO of eegee’s, said in the release. “Our goal is to build on this momentum, bringing our unique offering to more neighborhoods across metro Phoenix, starting with the East Valley and our first location in Gilbert and now, Mesa. We look forward to showing our neighbors in Mesa what we’re all about — a tradition built on community, convenience and quality taste.”

To celebrate the opening of its second Valley location, eegee’s is inviting guests to wear their best “ugly” holiday-themed sweater for opening day, take and post a photo at the opening, and tag @eegees on social media. One person will be selected from social media and will receive free eegees for a year.

Bringing the beats to eegee’s grand opening will be LIVE 101.5, which will host a remote on-site with Morning Mess’ Jeana Shepard at the location. Additionally, eegee’s has partnered with artist Paige Poppe who designed a sticker unique to the Mesa location, and one sticker per order will be given away during opening week while supplies last.

For those wanting to toast to the opening, eegee’s and Joshua James of Clever Koi have partnered to create custom eegee’s cocktails — Teekees — to level up the restaurant’s frozen beverage. To create the cocktails at home, follow eegee’s on Instagram for recipes posted in the weeks following the opening.

Those in the area will now be able to conveniently enjoy eegee’s namesake frozen drink — an ice-cold concoction packed with chunks of real fruit; French fries; and signature subs and grinders. While the menu is focused on these signature items, many have options for customization; this includes the eegee itself, which is available as an “eegee fizz” (with a splash of soda), “half and half” (a mix of two flavors) and as a “teagee” (mixed with iced tea). Its French fries can be ordered plain, with a variety of signature ranch dressings or topped with cheesy sauce and bacon. Additional guest favorites include the Original Grinder served on white or wheat bread, fresh-baked daily; salads such as the Southwest Chipotle Ranch Chicken; and more.

Eegee’s has plans to open additional locations across the Valley in 2022. For more information, go to eegees.com or follow eegee’s on social at @eegees.
