Area residents have until Sept. 15 to provide comments on a State Route 88 Apache Trail study of a seven-mile segment between the Fish Creek Hill overlook and Apache Lake Marina Road.

The road, from milepost 222 to 229, remains closed to traffic due to extensive damage resulting from a wildfire and storms.

Anyone who missed attending an Arizona Department of Transportation in-person Aug. 16 meeting in Apache Junction on the study can view the presentation and study materials online.

A recording of the presentation, meeting handouts, exhibits and the draft design concept report have been uploaded to provide the public with more information about the study’s purpose and need, alternatives evaluated and recommended improvements, according to a release.

There is still time to provide your comment on the study through Sept. 15 in any of the following ways:

  • Online comment form: forms.gle/DeprxRaisMthPc84A
  • Email: mhayes@logansimpson.com
  • Phone: 480-967-1343
  • Mail: SR 88 Study, c/o Marshall Hayes, Logan Simpson, 51 West Third St., Suite 450, Tempe, AZ 85281
