Falcon Field Airport in Mesa is coordinating with aircraft owners to host Cockpit Close-Up, a free community event 8-10 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month.
It features volunteer pilots based at Falcon Field and their private aircraft.
The next Cockpit Close-Up will be on Dec. 2 at the airport terminal building, 4800 E. Falcon Drive in Mesa. The featured aircraft will be an Aero L-39 Albatros.
Get a close-up look and talk to the pilot about the aircraft, flight training, flight knowledge and experiences, aviation careers, etc. Questions are welcome. It’s a great opportunity for those who are considering flight training or a career in aviation, a release states.
Falcon Field includes a total of 784 acres between Greenfield, Higley, McDowell and McKellips roads in northeast Mesa. There are currently more than 800 aircraft based at Falcon Field. This includes fixed-wing single- and multi-engine aircraft, turboprops, jets and helicopters, according to falconfieldairport.com.
