Falcon Field Airport in Mesa is coordinating with aircraft owners to host Cockpit Close-Up, a free community event 8-10 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month.
It features volunteer pilots based at Falcon Field and their private aircraft.
The next Cockpit Close-Up will be on Sept. 7 at the airport terminal building, 4800 E. Falcon Drive in Mesa. Get up close with private aircraft, including Legion Air’s Beechcraft Musketeers. Meet the pilots, explore the cockpits and enjoy this free family-friendly event.
Falcon Field includes a total of 784 acres between Greenfield, Higley, McDowell and McKellips roads in northeast Mesa. There are currently more than 800 aircraft based at Falcon Field. This includes fixed-wing single- and multi-engine aircraft, turboprops, jets and helicopters, according to https://www.falconfieldairport.com/.
