Billy Don Burns and Last Train to Juarez performing in Mesa Sept. 4

Posted

Billy Don Burns and Last Train to Juarez perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Roosters Country, 3731 E. Main St. in Mesa.

“Billy is one of the only original outlaw country music singer/songwriters. He has written songs that have been recorded by Willie Nelson, Johnny Paycheck, Sammy Kershaw, Cody Jinks and more,” according to a release. “Billy Don has joined forces with Last Train to Juarez and will be playing with the band and hitting the road. Billy Don hasn’t had a traveling band in over a decade so it's a big deal to the people who follow and respect him.”

Last Train to Juarez is working on its first E.P. release with a pending release date of Sept. 4.

“They will be having their debut show at Roosters Country in Mesa and then will be hitting the road. Last Train to Juarez will be touring with Billy Don Burns opening the gigs for him and then backing BDB for his headlining set,” the release states.
